The end of the rainbow
The locals have a saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes". It's true, the weather fluctuates as fast as my hot flashes. Late yesterday afternoon we had a hard rain. When we looked out the back door there was a huge rainbow in the valley below our house. What was so awe inspiring was, we could actually see the end of the rainbow.
I am 50 something, married, with two boys. For the past 33 years we have been living in crazy South Florida. My hubby retired early and wanted to move to a small town in North Carolina, which reminds us of the little town where we grew up in New York. I had to leave my dream job, school librarian, and all of the friends I had made over the years. Not to mention the stores, restaurants, great winter weather and did I mention stores?
Andrew, our oldest, is married and moving to Daytona to go to school. Chris is in the army reserves and will be moving to NC in October.
So here we are, living in a town of 1,000 people. I plan to get out there and start meeting people, learn how to play golf, do yoga, exercise, volunteer, join a church and take advantage of all Ashe County has to offer. And you can follow me.
Awesome rainbow!
